Life giving love

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

You were created to be connected, to love and be loved. You were chosen to be loved before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 4). The human body and brain is programmed for love, releasing 'feel good' chemicals like Dopamine.

You are created in the image of God, the love you give and the love you need is a reflection of God's love. In the same way he wants to be loved and loves (Love the Lord your God - Matthew 22:37)

God's love manifests (is shown) through Jesus; a sacrificial, giving and pure love. I know that God loves me, John tells me it is why God sent Jesus, and not just me but you as well, all of you - the world!

What is that love, and why can't we seem to find it ourselves?
I tried for years, to find the love that my heart was craving, but I was left unsatisfied.
Nothing and no-one ever met the need beating deep within me - until God.

What is it that the love of God gives us that no other can?

Life ... should not perish, but have eternal life! God sent his only Son, sacrificed his only Son, in love to give us life. Jesus confirms this when he says he has come to give us abundant life - a full life to be enjoyed (John 10:10).

The love you need, the love you crave will not come from the love of another. They will always fall short and you will be left unsatisfied. What you need is the love that feeds, sustains and gives life, eternal life.

  2. I was also searching for that love for years only to find emptiness and hurt until I truly accepted that the LOVE that Christ was enough to fill every crevice of my wounded heart. It was only then that he chose to supplement His love with the love of a sweet husband <3
Thank you for the reminder today that Christ's LOVE is enough :) #RaRaLinkup

  3. Yes. This is true love, that God has poured out His love for us and called us His own, redeemed and of high worth.

Thank you for sharing the gospel message with us today Tania! Sometimes we forget that it's the same grace that saves us that also fills the voids we feel in life. What a wonderful reminder that only God can fill that "G sized" hole in our hearts.
    Bless you,
    Tina
